Jo, the current chair of IHA, assumed her role at its inception. Prior to this, she served as the Chair of the Quality and Validation Scheme since 2019. With a profound thirst for knowledge, Jo has imparted wisdom in various colleges nationwide and abroad, and has been a sought after fixture on the lecture circuit since 2010
As an integral member of the 4Homeopathy panel, Jo represents the Homeopath Training group to give its voice within the wider homeopathic community. Author of several published articles, she has also been part of the editorial team of Homeopathy In Practice since 2006.
Since becoming a homeopath in 1999, Jo has cultivated a flourishing practice in Chesham, Buckinghamshire, extending her expertise to clients globally.
With a background as a qualified nurse and midwife; Jo worked in large teaching hospitals and played a pivotal role in pioneering the Continuity of Care Maternity project. It was during her tenure as a midwife that she first encountered homeopathy, witnessing its regular application by mothers seeking alternative and natural support during pregnancy and childbirth. It was also during this time that she gain a certificate in Teaching for Adult Education.
These diverse experiences have fuelled Jo’s passion for upholding standards of educational provision for the future of homeopathy, its practitioners, its students and its users.
